As you will probably notice, the Chavis Family stretches in many directions.  
So far, I have been able to go back as far as 1600 on the McElroy side that 
are the ancestors following the female line of my mother. I haven't had as much luck 
following the Chavis line.  Perservance will eventually pay off.  Never giving up, no 
matter what the circumstances are a common trait of both the Chavis and Trent 
families.  This website is still under construction, look for updates.  If anyone has 
any information or photo's they would like to contribute, please let me know.  In the
